Thanks all for your replies. For me, the latest figures from these series look taller and bulkier and I'm not just talking about Ajax who is a giant. The Vikings and Hector are larger than previous figures. I have not heard anybody comment on it. I'm not complaining because they look more impressive. I would like to hear other opinions on the matter. Greg.

The new Vikings are a bigger figure than previous releases as well as taller and bulkier have larger heads .

Might be okay for the Troy series but fingers crossed return to normal in future for Normans/Vikings and Saxons

Mark, i'm glad you agree with my own comparisons. They make some series like the Almoravids look small. I wonder how they will be on the Viking ship? Greg.

I can live with the slightly larger body particularly with cloak but imagine difference with helmet.

Did notice in the recent 3 figure set the helmet figure with spear is similar to previous Viking figures

I would think a return to normal size for boat crew would be best

Minor variances in scale don't disturb me as much as large ones do.
These guys are close. We have them & see no problems with scale.
I'm 5'8'" and Mike Miller is... a giant to me! My point is people are of different sizes. Not so much their heads, but sometimes even heads can be huge or tiny...

Empty?! Gee; Dad & I fill our heads with schnauzer antics, amateur history, and lots and lots of Westerns. Yet there is no emptiness felt here.
