It’s been a while since I posted, as I have been quite busy with my graduate studies and Guard activities. I am currently working on this village diorama, which will include a rode and a dry riverbed. It will house my collection of Ready4Action British Mandate and 1948-1949 figures, of which I have a LOT imminently arriving. I designed this so that it can depict a variety of scenarios, from British police patrolling the streets to Israelis attacking a Jordanian patrol to Egyptians attacking a fortified Israeli outpost. I have some sandbag emplacements which I can add to the road and the front of the buildings.
Note that this is just the base coat of paint. The next step is weathering the buildings, then I will add a layer of dirt (I use real dirt, sand, and silt mixed with white glue and water) as well as groundwork. The final step will be adding doors, shutters, and other details.
