Revelling in nostalgia, I was digging through my hoard and came up on these two vintage pieces, painted a couple of decades ago.

One is of Wild Bill Hickok, an Almond sculpture, very nicely proportioned and detailed.

The other is of a Mongol chieftain, a Barton Miniature. The proportions of this figure are not satisfying to my eyes, being too tall and thin. The figure isn't sufficiently squat enough. In addition, the equipment and accoutrements look rather basic and I might convert this piece.

Like your figures

Almond and Barton, it's the same sculptor

Almond made at least 2 big size 120 - 150mm for Realmodel first, the brand of the shop Seagull in London
Later Almond had Almond and Ceremonial Studio and also worked for a third company : Barton
He also made a superb piece for the shop Under 2 Flags ( London )
Allas Mr Almond died at age 34
He was a fantastic sculptor
