I have recently discovered in my folks' estate my old Britain's ACW set, North&South from 1950's. The bad news is several are broken: horses missing legs (some legs found), soldiers missing rifles, etc. They were used very hard in family games. Does anyone do repair of these classics? Very grateful for any help. Thanks.

My advice would be to find someone near to where you live who can repair them. Maybe find a local Toy Soldier Club/Society etc, near to where you live - the idea being that you could deliver and collect them for repair - without resorting to carrier services for their return. Members may know of someone capable - or even be able to do the repairs for you. Fixing broken bits isn't that difficult - but they MAY not be as strong as the original cast or soldered joint, once fixed - and journeys by post/ carrier might result in further damage.

There are a few people who can supply you (or the repairer) with replacement parts for Britains and similar old soldiers ( do keep any separated parts - which often can be re-fixed in place) - but find someone who would be willing to fix them up, close to where you are first - as he/she might already know a supplier of the parts that you may need. - That's my advice.
