No toy soldiers shops in Brussels . There is however a Sunday morning market in the "Woluwe shopping centre" where sometimes you can buy TS.

The nearest toy soldier shop is in Waterloo "Soldiers' Paradise"and in a town called Marcinelle. The shop in Marcinelle is called " Le Royaume du soldat". Marcinelle is located near the town of Charleroi.
guy:)

There is shop in the THE GALERIES ROYALES SAINT-HUBERT which sells a small selection of soldiers. I bought some from there last year. They are in the window and include some Napoleonics and Belgian figures all 1/32 scale. It is on the left as walk from the main road and fountain side. If I recall correctly the shop mainly sells lace.

I can confirm that this place was there at least a year ago...

The correct address is "Rue Marché aux Herbes" the correct name is Galeries Saint-Hubert ( or Galeries de la Reine) Very exclusive and expensive shops !!!!
The soldiers the lace shop sells are the toy soldiers our grandfathers were playing with.
here is a picture of the galerie

For info about shops please consult the list Magasins/Shops arround the world in XLs file at https://www.mirofsoft.com/adresses/

Chocolate ; never enter a shop with name " Belgian Chocolate" those are chinese products
see Godiva, Neuhauss ( who invent the praline, original shop in Galerie de la Reine ), Leonidas ( he cheapest but still good ) , Galler

Not far 500m see le Sablon ( wih 100 of antiques shops ) great chocolates manufacturers also, superb church, good foot
Avoid the 2 streets full of restaurants near the Grand Place ( Rue des Bouchers, Petite rue des Bouchers ) 95% tourist trap

Good foot at reasonable price http://www.lhuitriere.be/restaurant/fr ask the Bzns lunch ( centre town)
something out of usual experience http://www.belgaqueen.be/fr/Brussels.aspx
Restaurants with stars in the Michelin ( personaly tested and approuved)
http://www.bonbon.restaurant/
http://www.bozarbrasserie.be/

Also out of normal circuit " Charles Quint palace" found in the underground of Brrussls

Have a drink on the Grand Place arround 22H00 ( ask for the show time )

And... and.. and ... and ...

Enjoy

Galeries St Hubert in video

For your breakfast skip once the hotel one, and go to "The Pain Quotidien" ( tipicaly a belgian institution, first one was in Liège )

Dansaertstraat 16 A, 1000 Brussel
Near the Grand Place
Breakfast at a great table with perfect strangers http://www.lepainquotidien.be/en/
Or the one in the Galeries St Hubert ( Galerie de la reine ) 100m from the Grand Place

Amsterdam
Absolutely to do : the trip on small boat all arround the Asmterdam's Channels

Something about drinking a cofee in Brussels : there is no refill
99% are served direct from the steam machine, a normal coffee is served in a 15cl cup, and the expresso in 5,5cl, the restreto is in the 5,5cl but only half filing, the dose of cofee do not vary, they are not cheap, expect between 3 to 6€ a cup . Cofee is served black with a dose of sugar and milk on the cupboard .
The coffee of all cofees ( almost) is he Blue Mountain ( 2x or even 3x the normal price ) above that there is the Kopi Luwak, the most expensive of the world, a true marvel .

In restaurants and bar and ... the price include taxes and tips

The prices you see on products in all shops are taxes included

Enjoy
