Just returned from my my visit to the London Toy Soldier Show today. Yet another very enjoyable and successful trip! Picked up ( at last!!! ) my Leuthen
Churchyard Gateway - it really is stunning - well worth the wait! An absolute surprise sprung on me by James and Adam was - The Spad!! and of course, the Med C Hornet - a fine model.
I'll be posting a lot more pics as I get time, please keep an eye on this thread if interested.

Well spotted - corrected now. ( I was in a bit of a hurry! ) Yes more to come - taking a break now for some tea. Will be on again later.
Cheers!

Ladies and Gentlemen - "The Spad"
Boy, is that Spad a beauty, or what? My new favorite JJD plane.:wink2:^&cool He really did it right. Ol' Captain Eddy would be proud. Looks like a very accurate rendition of Rickenbacker's Kellner-built Spad #S4523, complete with short exhaust pipes and patched bullet holes. Can't wait for this to hit the dealers. ^&grin -- Al

That armored car is outstanding. The wheels are superb work. -- Al

James handing over a box of the latest John Jenkins releases to Mark Avery, Editor of Toy Soldier Collector ( Sponsors of the Show ) for photographing
for the next edition of the magazine. Mark is a very nice chap - I first met him about 4 years ago at a W Britain event at SP Models in Norfolk.
He used to edit the "Standard" magazine for W Britain. He has a huge knowledge of Toy Soldiers.

JJD releases get better and better ... and the Spad and WWI vehicles look smashing.

and more.....

You know, I have to buy this thing. JJD couldn't have picked a better livery for a first outing with the Yanks. That said, I hope that he's not releasing models too quickly. I'm afraid that I'll never get caught up.:redface2: Be that as it may, THANKS Old Bill!

Rear view of the Leuthen Dio

This is THE best shot from the show, showing the rear of the walls.....

I'm looking forward to getting all of this set in the coming year and to make my own base for the diroama.

Thanks for these images :) :)

John

Old Bill, many thanks for taking your time to post the JJD pics. They are great shots and really show a great deal of the details. And a special thanks for all the shots of the new Spad. -- Al

I like the idea of using the drum as a dio base ^&cool
