So Walking Dead Season 2 kicked off last night on AMC. Looks like it is going to be as good as the first season (They lost a lot of the first season writers so I was worried).

If you like horror ....or just good TV I would check it out. Darren is now my favorite character and now they seem to have expanded his role a bit.

I like horror but never have been a big fan of Zombie movies.

I think you mean Daryl Dixon. I'm sure his brother Meryl is going to show up sometime "single handed".

I finally watched the first episode and really enjoyed it. Those commercials are killing me though. I can even FF with On Demand and it takes forever to get through them all. One problem with this show is that they are going to run out of characters if they keep killing them off! Also watching "American Horror Story" which is hit and miss.

I like the show too. Bought the DVD of first season. It is a very different feel to watch without the commercial interruptions. They actually distract me from the moment. But I like the way season 2 is starting and am glad it is 13 episodes this time around instead of 6. Very good characters, and I think the writing is still good. I can't get my wife to watch it though. So I get an hour of me time when I get home to watch before I start dinner.

I think some of the things that are of interest to me are the make up effects. I started out in the film industry doing Special effects for some low budget horror films then some nicer sci-fi drama stuff. That was over 20 years ago and the technology advancements in the use of the various foams and skin texture rubber really makes the make up blend very well with the actors. That's just my geek side coming out. :)

I am enjoying this series very much, I love zombie horror, it's my favorite.

The carpet bombing of commercials is really getting annoying and as Doug said, thank God for the DVR so I can blow through them and I'm with Matthew, the make up in this series is incredible, it won an Emmy if I am not mistaken.....................
