I have more riders of various manufacture than I do horse castings, and I've just hit on using Deetail horses for them.

Hey , no problem at all. Great to hear your input. I am in the opposite. I have plenty of horses with no riders! Well, I have plastic unpainted horses that need riders. Painting horses is such a pain in the butt, so I try to paint them and use Britains riders. Actually, I ahve about 300 handpainted Civil war infantry I bought at a show. I have sold about 175 with plenty left. My goal is to get some more painted as well as some cavalry and artillery painted and sell the whole army.
