British African Campaign against Rommel!

World War 2 British Campaign Diorama.jpg

Was going for a "cinematic" feel to the photos. Would love to know what you gentlemen think. :salute::

I'm no expert but it's a better pic than we can take.
I'd like to know how you did it, because there is quality there.
All the Best & keep posting please

Thank you so much for your kind words, Paddy.

My secret for this particular diorama was discovering an abandoned house in my neighborhood, with a dry and barren garden which served as the desert sands :p
After that, the figures, terrain, and camera work did the rest of the job.

Thanks again, and I'll be sure to post more!

May I ask what sort of camera you used? I think my 3-year-old android and 16-year-old camera may be lacking in photographic quality. That and I have no talent with this. No biggie, just wondering. I'm new with photos but I'm a long-time collector. I even have your displayed FOV sets!

You're in luck, because I also used my semi-old android phone to take those pictures! :D

Thank you for the warm welcome Paddy, I would love to see your FOV sets if you have any pictures of them.

My father used to buy them for me back when Toys R Us still existed. My favorite gifts I ever got.

I loved Toys-R-Us! We got some of our FOV there as well.
We also bought as many Star Wars, Transformers, He-Men, and any other things we could find! We should never have played with them:rolleyes:.
Our small FOV collection is mostly in boxes or gifted away to kids (no fancy metal for you kids;)). I always admired FOV quality.
I'm not on Facebook or other forums but I know there are still plenty of painted plastic/multi-composition collectors out there.
Most forum members here seem to collect high-quality metal figures at some expense. But I, and most of us, appreciate all military miniatures and toy soldier collections!
You should check out the photos on this forum. Some people have the knack (and a big collection).
You can always look at peoples' photo albums if you click/tap on them. I have some myself, but I have never been a good photographer!
Thanks for everything and remember you can PM me if this conversation gets too long...

Nice to see FoV alive and well. Cool scene. I had a few FoV vehicles which I ordered on line. Some great pieces. I'll see if I can find an image or two.

EDIT: oh, and I miss TRU as well. :(

Here's a few old shots:
