Thanks for the tip, Brad. I just caught the opening credits of Where Eagles Dare (love that winter JU52!) and I couldn't be happier!:D:cool:

No problem guys. I caught the last 30 minutes. Of all the movies that are on the list, the ones I want to see are Breaker Morant and Objective, Burma.

Thanks for the heads up, Brad. I've got my Tivo all set up for the appropriate selections. Some real gems there.

If you have Comcast on Demand click on Top picks you will see a catagory for WWII movies or click on movies and events and you will see catagory for war movies not just WWII.

TCM just had on another great movie: Bridges at Toko Ri. Very sad ending but great speech by Frederic March at the end of the movie on the motivation of what makes soldiers do what they do.

The Eagle Has Landed is next.

... I found this article from a Professor of Law at the University of Oklahoma and this article appeared in the Oklahoma City Law Review. There is a little sermonizing going on but the article is quite interesting, http://tarlton.law.utexas.edu/lpop/etext/okla/kershen22.htm
Interesting and I would agree, somewhat moralizing review. What also caught my eye was the list of the Law School's movie library.

Interesting list but I draw the line at Gigli.:rolleyes:

I'm slowly getting through all of these that I recorded a couple of weeks ago. Watched The Sand Pebbles last night and thought it was really great. What an ending.

TCM is a great channel. AMC started out like this - no commercials and good movies. Now it is unwatchable.

I agree on AMC- the movies are so broken up with commercials that you lose track of the plot. I will watch a bit and if interested rent a DVD.

Another one down. Just finished watching The Lost Patrol. Not bad. Interesting subject....British cavalry unit fighting for survival in the North African desert during WWI.

Tonight's selection was Hang em High. I know, not really a war movie but I love the old "Clint" westerns. Episode 2 of John Adams is next. :)
