I am curious if collectors or wbritains would have any interest in providing some add-ons or re-releasing the figures sets from the river gun boat set separately. I recently picked up some the figures from a collector who was selling them separately. I have seen some collectors using the naval brigade figs on their boats. I am assuming anyone who bought the boat in the first place would be the natural target market for any additions. Considering how little has been released in the genre of late that it might rekindle interests from some of the diehards

Still plenty of boats floating around the dealers........

So add ons specifically for the boats maybe a narrow audience to target.

I for one would be interested in keeping the series alive with either Nile Gun Boat add ons or perhaps the Siege of Khartoum with General Gordan. ,I would also like more Naval Brigade and would like the RMLI to be introduced , anything really . Maybe with the old releases going cheap at the moment we could have some converts out there for for new sets from the series

I must admit I have been one of the converts due to the cheap stock on ebay from Bachmann dumping inherited stock. I did have a few pieces before hand but now I have obtained all the camel corp and most of the mahdists. I hope they do carry on this range even if it is only a couple of sets a year.

If anyone has a Naval Brigade Gatling Gun they wish to sell keep me in mind .

There will be new additions to the War on the Nile range this year, including several in the 3rd quarter catalog.
The crew was sculpted with two style bases but only released with the boat and the wood plank bases. Some of these elements may be revisited in the future, but all new sculpts will be released first.
Hope this helps a bit.

FYI Bachmann have not dumped any stock on the market . I think you are referring to Locolines on Ebay . To my knowledge Bachmann have never stocked aquariums , gramophones or subbuteo. I was speaking with Bachmanns UK marketing director last week and his words when I broached the subject were that they just ship the product WB's ask them to . They are a distribution agent in the UK and have no financial stake in the product and no say in the price of the product.

Thanks for the info Ken looking forward to seeing the catalog and happy to know there will be new releases

I stand corrected. I was just going on information told to me by a long standing Britains dealer i spoke to last week, from his conversations with Bachmann. I was referring more to the UK Bulk seller who is selling them even cheaper then locolines on Ebay. Whatever the reason Iam just glad I was able to benefit from the unexpectedly low prices of this range and are now a full convert to the series.

Great news about the new sets coming out. Thank you for the heads up Ken.
