War Park NAP French Old Guard Grenadier with First Legion Line Grenadiers (PICS) (1 Viewer)

[FONT=&quot]So my plan worked out perfectly as I hoped it would. The War Park fighting French Old Guard Grenadiers arrived today, and they augment my First Legion 18th Line Grenadiers very well. Sure, there are minor differences in uniform between Old Guard vs Line Grenadiers, but none of those jump out when massed together in a display. Only tweak I plan is to dull down the gaiters on the WP figures.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]By the time I started buying FL NAPs, I was only able to snag one Standing & Firing figure. Consequently, my line looked a little weak with the majority of figures reloading. I like this a lot better were a larger proportion of the figures are "Firing at will."[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]I hope War Park does the same treatment for Line Fusiliers and does Standing Firing and Kneeling Firing figures. I'd buy 5 of each to augment my First Legion 18th Line Fusiliers as well.[/FONT]

All that needs to be done is to coat them with dullcote/matte finish, either spray or liquid.

Just using matte/dullcote would leave them much too completely black for me. I'd prefer the gaiters a little more faded black like the kneeling Grenadier in greatcoat. I plan to use a wash of "faded rubber" to get the effect. We'll see how it turns out.
