Really nice looking Hummel! Quite frankly, this is better than the first winter version… Really glad to see the ammo and crates sets as well!

It is great to see these Gunners in a different sort of pose, loading up their Self Propelled Gun and not in a firing role.

Many makers only have loading, aiming, but that can't happen unless the 'bombs' are on board.

Interesting to see the empty cartridge case included. Prior to action, the cart cases would be filled with a charge and then bot cartridge and projectile loading into the breech.
These guns were primary used in indirect fire, due to their long range the gunners didn't see the target, but fired to instructions from a command post who go fire orders from a forward observer.

Well Done,

John

Those are not necessarily empty shells. Although as show, they probably are! The round as such is composed of two pieces, the charge and the projectile. Several other howitzer guns used a similar system.
Love this release!

I received my Hummel a few days ago and it’s quite nice! I like this version better than the original winter version. The crew and accessory sets go together well and make for a fantastic display. Here are some pics of my setup:

I don't know which picture I like better, Tman. What an impressive vehicle as well as your dio. Love the camo pattern on this beast and the crew have some great poses.
War Park is really producing some fine pieces.

Thanks for the kind compliments, Rob! The two figure sets combine well and the shells/crates accessory set was key to completing the scene, along with War Park’s excellent Hummel model. War Park is definitely on a roll cranking out great products each month!
