I do not know a lot about Warwick. They are real toy like but well done. The range includes ACW and AWI and British Ceremonial . Made on the East Coast. The earliest set that I have dates to 1980. They are manufactured under a new name of Hampton. I tried contacting them but no answer so far.
I would really like to know every thing I can about them. I have about twenty sets. Four of the last five sets actually had their boxes. The boxes are a glossy bright red and say Warwick Miniatures Ltd. with a crest of hands with swords and dirks.
Any info on these sets would be greatly appreciated
I know I will get in trouble for this, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but I just gotta say it, "they look very crude compared to today's releases."
Well now that it has been said, they are ugly cute like a bulldog. Come to think of it that would have been a really great name for them. They were made almost thirty years ago
I have to say they would be fun to have if the price was right but I can also tell you that they wont appeal to a lot of modern collectors because of their toyness. Still they are fun to see.
The sets I picked up recently went from 25 to 32 bucks a set except for the confederate artillery set. They were 125 samolians. I am known as an eccentric eclectic throwback
I hate to say this but you havent corned the market on eclectic. You should see my little den when I have it all squared away. Not quite the secret Highlander room but good enough for me!
Those prices were quite good even for the artillery set so I'd be pretty happy and as Pat says I'm better know as 1/2 price Dave so if I'm think thats a good price it must be, right?
Looking forward to some pictures of the Hocker sets please.
