Two 92nd Highlanders, members of the Gordon Relief Expedition, scan the Sudanese desert for signs of Mahdist forces. They are accompanied by their faithful dog Angus whom they had found while stationed in South Africa and brought along with them as regimental mascot when they sailed for Egypt. They have implicit trust that he will watch their backs for any signs of the approaching enemy.

That's a cheery way to start the morning, very thoughtful layout.

Hey Robin

Man those guys and their dog traveled fast from New Hampshire to the Land of Oz:)

Looks like you and I have similar collections and interests.

Thanks for posting. These are great figures! This is the year for Victorian Colonial Collectors.

Nice to share with you. I intend to collect every Sudan/NW, in JJ, Britain's & Conte. Cannot match the quality of your photo's and the in depth information you have at your fingertips, but I will do my best to keep up.
cheers, Robin
