Does anyone know of a base that is just water and no shoreline?

I have a nice scene with the Jetty, Sampans and other Hong Kong and U.S. Navy figures that would be nicer if it had something resembling a harbor under it rather than the wood of my display shelf.

Thanks again,

Mark

im also after a water effect to put under my LCA does any body sell a water effect sheet or board?

Mark Vuncannon at www.Build-A-Rama.com has some mats with large expanses of water and could make one with all water. John Gittens of JG Miniatures in England is also working on a water mat. www.jgminiatures.com

Have a look at the section Diorama accessories on this Forum.

thank you Terry i was wondering if John of JG Miniatures would bring one out look forward to seeing what he comes up with ill check out build a ramas matts aswell

Cheers Craig.

I used some stiff card and painted it blue. When dried I gave it a couple coats of white glue to give it a glossy finish. Doesn't look too bad either.

I suggest cellohane wrap, I spray paint it to the color I want, dark blue for the ocean, and then brown when and green when you get closer to shore.:) Cut it to the size you want, ruffle it up to make waves, can set your figures near the wave take a picture, looks like they're in the water!

very nice Scott I might have a go at making my own version cant hurt to try even if im not as talented as some people on here! If that fails im leaning towards the build-a-rama matts that Terry pointed out but that depends on prices aswell lol
