Hi Fellow Treefroggers!
Sometimes a collector just sees an unfinished set that just gets your juices going! That's what happened to me regarding the Andrea Model Kit - Waterloo 1815. Now I can hardly paint the side of a barn and have always admired the work of the Russian artists. As I own quite a few Russian pieces from Aeroart and the other studios, I tried to find a Russian Studio that would be open to painting a special set. Upon reading Igor's post as well as looking at some of Niena's finished sculptures and paintings, I reached out to see if they could make and paint this special commission set. As luck would have it, Igor had this in stock and we agreed upon the price and process. Igor then turned over the project to his wife Irina who manages the production stage. The attached pictures show the stock photo from Andrea and the kit as it would have come out of the box. Irina has graciously agreed to send me more pictures during the production process so that I can post updates on this commission piece.
So here is Part I!
