My cousin got elevated to State CSM of the Nevada Army National Guard last week:

Super proud of him, loves the country like anyone's business. Loved wearing his 1st CAV cavalry hat when he was with them. One of the perks of his new position is a government subsidized apartment in DC so he can live somewhere while attending to duties at the Pentagon. Hope to catch up with him at some point around there.
The National Guard Bureau seems to be pretty busy with senior enlisted promotions of late. The father of one of my son's classmates just got promoted to CSM after 35 years of service here in Pa.
