This is a question I received from someone using the TF Resource pages and am posting it for him:

Hi,

I am trying to rebuild my childhood collection of Britain Cowboy, Indians,
Mexican, and 7th Cavalry figures.

Is there a guide to collecting these figures. Did Britains come out each
year with different figures? I have seen online figures that look the same,
but with different bases.

When did Britains start with the Western Figures? Is there a book that shows
all there made. I'm looking to start a big collection.

I would like buy in bulk if possible. I'm going to look thru your website
right now.

Sounds like he is referring to the WB plastic figures. Treefrog sells them and they don't look much different than what WB has made for years.

Hi Brett:

The book "Suspended Animation" covers all the W. Britain plastic figures and is a great resource.

W. Britain still has the Cowboy, Indian and 7th Cavalry figures, all of which have been repainted with more detail added. They are of course available from Treefrog.

The Mexicans and Apaches sadly are no longer in our possession, and am unsure as to where they ended up. Some molds found their way to Argentina - but do not believe these were included. During rough patches in the 1980's and 1990's W. Britain sold or disposed of some of their assets.

Hope this helps,

Hi Guys,

I saw a large batch of the Indians for sale on ebay last night. He should look there for some of the other ones I see them quite often.

All the best

Dave

Thanks for the great link. Very nostalgic to see all of those old plastic figures again. I has a lot of those as a kid. :)
