We need a decent film which is focussed on the 9th Legion's disappearance while in Britain. We need a film which focusses on the idea of the Legion being ambushed and the battle which turns out to be their last - although no one really knows what happened to them.
Centurion is very good and The Eagle is not too bad but we need an actual film which is focussed solely on the 9th Legion without any side stories. I always loved the idea that they were ambushed on a large scale and subsequently fought to their last.
We need a film which shows their arrival in Britain. Marching to Hadrian's Wall. Heading through the gates and into the wild to find the 'Barbarians' and then lots of focus on their last battle where we see Roman tactics used by the soldiers. Testudos, archers, cavalry charges, and lots of hand to hand fighting. Perhaps even resulting in the 'Barbarians' charging Hadrian's Wall and attacking the defenders, thus turning the attacking Romans into the defending force.
