Harry Yeide is the author of several fine books on WW@, including "Steel Victory" that covers the US Army's seperate tank battalions in the ETO, "The Tank Killers" that is a history of the US Tank Destroyer forces, "The Longest Battle" on the Roer River campaign. Now he has added another fine book, "Weapons of the Tankers : American Armor in WW2". This 128-page hardbound book is packed with information about the background, organization and vehicles of the Armored Force. No, this isn't an in-depth technical history of each tank, but they ARE covered in sufficient detail to get a good idea of how the vehicle was developed and how it was used. At just under $16.00 (USD) on Amazon.com, this is a steal compared to many other tank books. I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone with an interest in tank forces in Europe during WW2.

Gary,

Thanks for this information. It sounds like this book is just the kind of book I have been wanting concerning WW II tank forces. I think I will obtain a copy.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat
