I’m attending the “Weekend of Hero’s” here in Pomona, CA. Weak attendance thus far, probably because it’s really not a Toy Soldiers show but caters to all sorts of Militaria.

However, it was great to meet up with Craig McClain and Woody from Old Toy Soldiers of San Diego and Pam Brunton of “Brunton’s Barracks” again.

Rick Wang of Figarti Miniatures fame with Dick Rossi, Flying Tiger Ace as a quest speaker and signing autographs. Steven Chong will report more on that later. Yes, Steven attended the show too.

Figarti was showing the final prototypes of their Pegasus Bridge, US Vietnam PT, SAS Jeeps and figures, USMC/ Japanese sets and my favorite the LVT A-1 manned with two gunner figures.

Here are some of the PT boat pictures taken yesterday. Take a closer look at the figures. The new paint treatment has been applied and the water surrounding the boat is colored more authentically blue-green reflecting the typical river (e.g. Mekong) in Vietnam. I love the quality and the precision in which the figures fit in the gun turrets and handle the guns.

I’ll be retaking some pictures today on the other sets.

This is my favorite (LVT-A1) and the pictures don't do justice to this model. Please trust me, that's isn't any hype either the WWII LVT A-1 is really something special and a welcome addition to the rest of the Figarti LVT's and the King and Country Amtrak (IWJ023) since it's the same size.

My deepest apologies for picture quality. The lighting was terrible on the showroom However, I hope you can see the quality of the sculps even in the month area. Those aren't just painted in teeth!

Nice, very nice,

Carlos

I pre-ordered that boat as soon as I saw the first photos from the wsetcoaster. It looks even better now!

These figures are very well done that are not as stylistic or bright as KC IMO but more realistic and well weathered to suit my preference.

So you guys chose 1/32 and weathered and more realistic or KC 1/30, stylistic and more brightly colored. Oh heck, get them booth, LOL. I like them both.

Hi Carlos,

Your pictures are excellent! They allow us to see how really well done the Figarti pieces/sets are. Now I have some real thinking to do regarding my purchasing budget!

Thanks for posting the pictures!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Here is the final version being shipped to Hobby Bunker, $599. Without the figures of course.

Hi Carlos,

I am certain that my questions has been asked before, but I do not recall the answer. Do you know what the dimensions of the Bridge are? Specifically, I am wondering how much room is required in order to display it? Thanks!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

New SAS Crew. Again, sorry for the quality of the pictures bad lighting on the showroom and these pictures don't do justice the actual experience of looking at them in person.

BTW, check out the detail display on the map the figure is holding. Well, at least I was impressed.

Good question Pat, gees I hope I remember to ask today. Steven, do you remember?

Well, that bridge looks awesome. That's pretty amazing. Brings back memories of my trip to the Pegasus Museum.

Carlos never apollogize for your photos bad lighting or not and as usual they're very well done. One of the highlights I like most about the forum is when your on a photo kick can't wait to see more. Hope all's well and continues to go well at your end....The Lt.

I am looking for the upcoming Warriors serie and after seeing that boat, even if I am not a Vietnam stuff collector, I will probably order it. And the SAS Jeep too.

Pierre.

The overall Pegasus Bridge length with the embankment end pieces is about 56" long. It is about 14" wide, and about 20" high to its highest point(including added height of embankment pieces). Some assembly will be required, since the bridge has been produced in several pieces to making packaging easier. However, the bridge is made of a resin material like K&C's polystone, so the overall set is very heavy -- I think it is close to 70 lbs!
