West Coaster Diorama Report...

Mark from Build-A-Rama has hit a home run-well, make it a grand slam! I will call it modular diorama art for now aka the "Endless Diorama." Modular in that the versatility in regards to display power (size/shape) and theatre of war/time in history is endless; art in that the realism makes the display come alive in such a way that would satisfy the most critical toy soldier connoisseur! Bravo! Yes, I know-where are the pictures? It is late and the lighting was not right; his display was also not complete. However, Carlos (desk11desk12) will be taking pictures tomorrow and will post them by Saturday so rest easy knowing that what I say/type will be verified via photo images.

Beaufighter OVER & OUT...for now

We'll it was another great West Coaster thanks to Craig McClain, Woody (Old Toys Soldiers of San Diego) and Deanna and Nick (TSSD).

Build-A-Rama had some great releases including a new 1/30 German Pill Box but the highlight had to be his new customized bases and grass matts. I got some of all of these and I do believe all of us customized pieces sold and most by day 2.

Carlos, thanks for the pix and report. Put some fuel in my almost empty enthusiasm tank.
Love seeing the talent .
Kind of kicking myself for not going.

Thanks again

Does anyone know when that awesome looking grass is going to be available to buy, I've checked the website but couldn't see it on there and I thought it was available at the West Coaster?

Cheers

Wow! Very cool work. With the terrain pieces now being put together by B-A-R and H&A, the toy soldier terrain work has stepped up a significant notch.

Thanks for the photos Carlos. Great work from you and Steven, as ususal.

Mark of Build-a-Rama launched this product at the West Coaster and has not had time to update his website. He is a one person operation (with his wife and family helping at shows) i.e. development, production, packaging, etc. All the grass mats brought to the show were sold and the concept appears to be a big hit with collectors given its versatility.:)

Again, thanks for the photo's at the show. Especially for those of us who can not make it to them. The diorama's looked awesome, can you tell how big the grass mats were and how much they cost? It is hard to tell from the photo's.

Thx

Hi guys,

We are back and working hard producing the new items.

We were very excited to announce the new Signature Series custom scenic pieces at the show. Each of these pieces are signed and numbered never to be replicated. These pieces were sold out during the course of the show. The plan is to produce one unique scratch-built diorama piece to be added to our Signature Series each week and will only be available through ebay auction ( I will post a link in a new thread titled "Signature series auction").

The new grass mats will come in these standard sizes for now:

12" x 24" (Shelf Size)

30" x 24" (Table Top)

Contact us direct for custom sizes at mark@build-a-rama.com

I will have official product pictures and pricing info on these and the other new items shortly.

I would like to thank Carlos, Steven and Marc for their great reporting!
You guys make this a fun and exciting industry to be part of.

Thanks Carlos for the fine photos. Also, thanks to Steven, Marc and others for their reports on the show. Your efforts are appreciated. Leadmen

Per Mark's post above I believe this was one of the signature pieces...

In short, keep checking his web site, Treefrog & eBay! Hope this helps!

Happy Hunting,
Beaufighter

Stay tuned I will be posting the next Signature Series piece the weekend.

There will be pieces from time to time that will include artillery in them.

Thanks
Mark
