Hi Guys,

I promised to give a preview on what Figarti will be launching at the West Coaster Show so here it is. But before I tell all, for those of you who will be at the show, you will notice a significant difference in our work. Recently, we have appointed an award-winning artist as our Chief Colourist and to give you an idea what to expect,I have attached a few "Sneak Peeks" (2 US Soldiers in Iraq and 1 Iraqi National Guard). I think we have come a long ways since our China Battlefield days. And we think we have improved further since Chicago '05.

Anyway, we will be bringing PAINTED PROTOTYPES of 5 NEW sets of US forces in Iraq including sets on mine-sweeping, communications, M120 Mortar set and attack forces. We will also bring two sets of the bad guys, including the Iraqi National Guards. Dioramas include portable concrete walls and sandbags. To tell the story in Iraq, we felt we needed to have armour, so expect to see a Humvee as well as a M1 Tank (All very detailed and Figarti armour like). This brings our total head count for US Forces in Iraq to 46 different poses. This does not include our British troops, civilians or bad guys.

For WWII, we will bring several variations of the M3-A3 Stuart Tank including one used by the French. For the "HONEY", we will be bringing a 4 figurine "Limited Edition" set of British tank troops to go with the honey. We will have NEW US Marines and Japanese for the Pacific Theatre (Iwo Jima) BUT will not be able to show this time.

And the P-40 Flying Tiger, this is something really special! We have re-tooled the entire plane, so in essence, its a completely NEW plane. But the real story behind this P-40 is ........................ well, we'll keep this quiet until Irvine. All I can say is that its really really NICE!!!

So, to sum it up, a total of 32 new figurines, 3-5 new armour vehicles, 1 new plane and a completely different look to Figarti. I am excited, I hope you will be too.

Rick,

The sculpting on those figures, especially the faces, looks amazing! I am especially intrigued by the tank troops for the Honey. You say they are Limited. When will we be able to get them. Sign me up now:cool:

The Free French Stuart also sounds interesting. I was wondering though when you might have other World War II tanks.

I am anxiously awaiting the Honey.

It looks you are really doing great work.

Really well done. I will certainly purchase the new armor, especially the M1 and the Humvee.

Rick,

Thanks for the sneak preview. Oh, how I wish I could attend the West Coaster, if only to view your new figures up close and personal! Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend, but I will look forward to any photos of the show that others may wish to share on the forum.

Best of luck with all your new figures! They are impressive!

Warm regards,

Pat

Rick, great news on the Iraq sets, as you know they are my favorite.
You say they are improved, but will they still be completely compatable with your earlier releases?
Gary

Hi Rick,

Good news about the Humvee will have a 50 cal. machine gun mount and will it be colored in desert tan?

Rick,

Any chance you can post a sneak peek of the British troops or the French tank?

Dear Rick,

Saw the photos you posted. The paint work by the new colourist on these 1/32 scale figures is astounding. I am equally excited and looking forward to viewing all your new figures at the West Coaster. Have a good flight. See you Friday.:)

Thanks Rick for the update and you and your dad have certainly made a giant leap from two years ago when I first viewed your product at OTSN with Gary. You are certainly making it hard to resist the urge for me to start another curio with Figarti in it. Congrad's again and I'll see you this year hopefully in Chicago.

Hi Brad,

No photos yet but will be at the show. But to let you in on the two versions of M3-A1 Stuarts we'll be showing, they are the:

Free French, 1st Morocco Cavalry, 2nd Armor Division & one from the 3rd Company, 1st Battalion Group, Burma 1945.

Both of these M3-A1 versions are different than the earlier Stuarts we put out, in fact, this version is not simply a different paint job, it actually looks very different but a Stuart for sure.

More from the show.

Looking forward to the pics. Steven said he would post. I've already pre-ordered the British tank crew :)

I saw Rick tonight at the Westcoaster. The British tanker's face is lifelike. I hope to get some pictures to you in a couple of days if Rick doesn't beat me to it.

Carlos,

Thanks. Based on what I saw of the new Iraqi figures, I knew it had to be good. My Honey arrives on Monday so I can't wait for that.

I won't be able to attend the show, but I'll tell you the Honey looks fabulous. I am going to have to purchase that one. Can't wait to see the new soldiers being released. This is my FIRST POST Yahoo! :)

Welcome aboard. I think the Honey is limited so you might not want to wait too long. Treefrog has them and I believe they have a few left.
