As the work day comes to a close, the younger guns get ready to paint the town red. They may be a bit younger than the crew watching the heard, but they know better than to hit the town on an empty stomach. They plan on a long evening.
After supper, Rich "Cookie" Fisher walks around filling coffee cups as he goes.He stops to chat with the blacksmith, Bryan Davis. These two will stay behind tonight and guard the camp. Rustlers, wolves and Kiowa Indians are all stilla threat on the open prairie.

Bullet Bob Jones cleans his plate in the stream, while his buddy, Rowdy Rick Eber tries his luck at panning for gold. Rowdy tells everybody that one day he's going to hit that big haul. Bullet Bob believes him and the two of them watch each others backs.
A few of the boys couldn't wait and mounted up. Ed "Bad News" Borris and his sidekick Mike Kutnick, are joined by Rich Egan and Jim "Chicago" Clouse. Hellraisers all!!
T. D. Barnecutt, Tommy "Boot" Hill, Dandy Don Farulo and "English Bob" sit around the fire and finish the last of their coffee. "English Bob's" real name was Steve Weston and rumor had it that he came to American to escape the noose back in England. No one ever asked and Steve never spoke of it.Out on the trail, your past stayed in the past. Too many questions could get a man killed.
Raider Ron has ridden back to the base just to remind the boys to keep it under control. There's still a heard to drive to the cattle pens tomorrow.He tells Bad News not to get involved in any fisticuffs. "I need every man tomorrow and we ain't got no bail money, yet. So, you need to watch yourself."Borris just smiles. Kutnick groans!
