Heres a couple of shots of Weta,s recently opened store/musuem
attached to their studio . A bus load of tourists turned up just after we arrived so the camera got canned .
I tried to convince my better half to let me buy the tommy gun lamp but to no avail :( [I,ll consider that a work in progress ] They had a big range of lotr/dr who/narnia stuff ,Just as well i,m not the sort of guy to start collecting.
I thought the metal ray guns reminecent of flash Gordon where pretty cool
[after my lamp of course:D].

Great shots Vandilay, how much of that was actually for sale? rediculous prices I would assume?

Ray

Ray , they had a fair bit for sale but mostly the sideshow/weta collectables.
The ray Guns I looked at seemed to be around the $1000 kiwi [$680 US]
mark. The tommy gun was a similar price.
None of the original lotr weapons etc where for sale , they are supposed to
be doing the effects for the Dambusters so it will be interesting to see if
they follow it up with collectables as some of their stuff is pretty sharp and
price wise on a par with toy soldiers now.
cheers Rob
