I am surprised that the whaleboat is still available.Even at $300 I thought it would be gone by now as it's been out for about 5 months.I haven't gotten it myself as I have other items I want.

I think the Whaleboat is a slow burner - at $300 - collectors can only go so far with the quick pick-up. I believe in the next 6 months - it will be gone as people start picking it up slowly on their timetable.

Another reason for it still being there is the massive releases from JJD as well ! If you collect more than one of his ranges - which most of us do - this piece is low on the list. I personally don't collect the Rangers, but might pick up the dock set. The Whaleboat is a very nice piece though ! :D

Tell the truth,

How many multiples did you guys buy, lol?:eek::eek:,

Michael

Michael - not on this one - The problem is the piece is very big and hard to display for me. At $300 - well, a few other priority items on the list before it. Although, the Ranger set does look very cool  - wish i had the space to collect it.

I've got the Whale Boat , and purchased it when it was on sale. I saw a guy buy 6 of them at the same sale. Maybe he was going to make the whole raid dio, I don't know.

I stopped buying doubles myself, and at $300 they will move slowly. All the boubles I got before the economy collapsed I'm selling now and of course I'm loosing on them. It's still a buyers market except for the Very Rare items.

I to will be getting the Dock Set.

Ron, I wonder if it could go with that new future release of the Indian Canoe ?

I was thinking the same thing - about a same diorama with the Dock Set and the three Canoes - sort of a French & Indian War - Pirate/Ransom thing of today.

I do love those Roger Rangers - just must limit myself on these things

Also another idea on the Dock Set would be to use it with my K&C FOB Range figures - like a Dunkirk jetty ? I think the soldiers walk on it waiting for transport could be cool

Ixec,
I'm curious. How much did you get one on sale?

Okay,

I just bit the bullet,

and what a big bullet it was.

I swear, I have no willpower, lol:eek::eek::eek:

From this day forward though, nothing but new and future releases.

I just ordered,

WHRR-01
WHRR-02
RR-01
RR-02

I don't regret it, in fact I'm dying to see them,

but these high ticket items are a hard pill to take.

I'll post some photos when I get it.

Why do you suppose our hobby is so addictive?

Is there a toy soldier version of methadone???

Randy,

In my case it might be a 12 step program, kind of gradually wean me off, one soldier at a time,:D:D:D:D:D

you,

maybe a "photo patch" from Walgreens, lol:D:D:D, or "cold turkey",

I don't know , but addictive is the word,

the more I buy,

the more I want,

or is that compulsive?, lol:D:D
