I've been really impressed with Collectors Showcase's figures from the earlier eras. I'm not a collector of WW2 or Civil War but I'm heavily into Rome 43AD and the Agincourt line is really going places. It seems to me that Brian has a great feel for ancient and medieval figures and I'd like to suggest that he has a think about a Viking range. No one else has done one for a while and there are some interesting evenues. Does anyone else think this is worthwhile?

Almost as worthwhile as an 'a' in 'avenues'. Seriously though, it would be an interesting range and it would be fun to see the calls for a Viking ship!

If they do NORMAN cavalry, I'm in. I have several hundred Normans, Saxon, Vikings, almost all Conte metals and plastics I painted to match. The Warlord sets, Stamford BRIDGE ETC.
Great collection , but missing The Norman Mounted save the few Conte did. There are virtually NONE available. Wide open range CS.

Conte Stamford bridge works for 28mm too! I have Dark ages in 2 scales. I would be on board for some more 54-60mm. There's a set of War gaming rules called SAGA. Small warbands, containing a leader, Huscarls, levy, archers etc.
Seems perfect for 54mm raids. So, yes, more Dark ages Vikings, Saxons and Normans would be welcome.

There has been a few hints dropped on the Britains thread for Vikings/Normans over the years but sadly no "bites"
So the door is wide open for Collector showcase here, I like my Conte collection but I would have liked some with shields held in front.
I like what they did with the TV series "Vikings" as far as there garb and hair styles go!...;)

I found a few at Irregular Miniatures in the U. K. , not many but there is a casting available of Norman Cavalry. Lot's of other interesting items for Ancients . Greek, Republican Roman, Carthaginians even some Gauls.
There seem to be enough for a small order of troops for my 54mm Punic wars collection, and a few Dark ages too. I have a small platoon of their Napoleonic French in greatcoats and the size is right.
Now, if CS does Viking era , and they are as dynamic as the other lines they do it should be a hit. Who can resist the fury of the Northmen?!!!
