I keep seeing where collectors on the forum say that the Greek series look good but they choose to go for the Romans. Now I know it's very expensive to spread yourself across too many series but I think some will never know how good the Greeks look. Personally I think they look better than the Romans but that is my own taste and having a diorama side by side I can't help comparing them. I will continue to collect both series as I love them equally but don't dismiss the Greeks. If you only buy one you will be impressed. What do you think? Regards Sapper.

Greg,

I'm in your corner with this Romans and Greeks are must haves even if just in small numbers they really add to the colour

That's a neat little Roman fort you have there Greg.I like both the Romans and the Greeks, but only have some Romans because I think you can make more interesting and varied dioramas with them. The Greeks are more colorful but for me,less useful.

When in Rome I'm told a Roman thinks he is 'very nice', but it's all Creek to me.....:wink2:

I collect both eras, as well as too many others, but on the Romans only the 9th Legion, I am getting close to 2 centuries. I am waiting for the Brits to come out before I start enemies of Rome.

I also started collecting the Lambda shields, I have 21 and they look great as a small diorama set. I collect no enemies and I do not think they need them as they stand alone as a great set. I have also started to buy the Spartans with the different design shields as I think they are outstanding and look great in my cabinet standing in rows, as the same figure with a different pattern shield does look impressive.

My answer is 'on the fence' as I think the Spartans do look better but I am a Roman history buff and T Gunn for me are the best on the market when quality, price and releases.

Some of the nicer figures from both series. Sapper.
