Hi.

I am contemplating a trip to Gettysburg.

I have heard of a few shops in the area.

Does anyone know for sure what their names are?

Thanks,
MikeNick

I highly recommend The Antique Center of Gettysburg. They have many very hard to find items plus they carry all kinds of other cool stuff. You can spend hours looking through his showcases.

I am pretty sure one of them is called "Tarbox" on Steinweg ave in downtown Gettysburg.

Try Stan Clark of Antique Center of Gettysburg

scmb@earthlink.net

He is always listing retired figures For Sale on this Forum, and has a great mail order service, so check with him before you go.

I visit Gettysburg almost annually now, and the shops I visit that have Toy Soldiers are as follows:

1. Antique Center of Gettysburg, 30 Baltimore St. - Stan Clark, Proprietor (Toy Soldiers & Militaria)
2. Gettysburg Miniature Soldiers - Toy Soldier Shop, 200 Steinwehr Ave.
3. Tarbox Toy Soldiers, 45 Steinwehr Ave.
4. American History Store, 461 Baltimore St.
5. Cyclorama's Shop (mainly ACW Britains)

PS. A great place to stay is General Lee's Hq. (free parking and B'fast included) - located near Seminary (Seminary Ridge).

Can't add to the list, but be aware that many of the shops in Gettysburg are closed on Tuesdays, like the Antique Center. -- Al
