What areas do you collect and why do you collect them?

Mine are Napoleonic but only figures from the Waterloo period as I have never been very interested in the Peninsular despite this being a huge part of those wars.

Have always liked the look of british paratroopers in the film a bridge too far and the Longest Day so Arnhem has got to be in my collection! In recent years XXX Corps' drive up that single road has really fascinated me. And of course D-Day with landing craft and men running across a beach front as this was a really important moment in history!^&grin

Also got quite a lot of winter sets and displays as my Gran has always loved seeing snow and this led to me developing a liking of it too, especially town scenes. :smile2:

What are yours?

On the poll I would break out American Civil War and wild west. Because I think they are fairly different. So it could skew the results a bit.

As far as what I collect it is mainly FL Civil War figures. Why? I have been studying the period since the 80's and am lucky enough to live about 30 miles from Gettysburg which is nice :) I also collect Civil War letters and other documents. So they go hand in hand.

Thanks! Brad

All I really collect at this point is WW1, mainly aviation. Love the planes. Will also collect infantry, artillery, and cavalry when they are available, but always WW1. Used to collect wide range of figures but rising prices and lack o' space has forced a drastic narrowing, (or focus, if you prefer), in my collection. -- Al

You forgot to include India: the Raj and Indian regiments, etc., which is why I chose Other.

Besides the '45 / Culloden, the other areas are all in the 'Other' category .- The Sudan, Seven Years War, and French & Indian War - All consisting of the wonderful figures by John Jenkins. :)
