It is a winner in a song contest in my country and now my country will send this song for the EUROVISION song contest.So what do you think?

The song is much like the Eurovison song contest itself,total rubbish I'm afraid.I'm sure great songs come from your country but this is not one of them.Eurovision song contest is absolute tosh.Expensive,cheesy,and with most countries voting for the country next to them it is a laughable relic from the seventies and should be axed without delay.

I can't believe the Eurovision contest is still going nigh these 40 plus years after I first watched it. It wasn't too good then and although certain things, such as wine, improve with age, the Eurovision contest isn't one of them.

After Ales reads this, we all better duck:eek:

Brad,along with snooker its got to be one of the most tedious things on tv over here.Millions of people take to the streets that night in an attempt to avoid the hideous spectacle that is Eurovision.It is to music what Jack the Ripper was to neighbourhood safety!.I meant no insult to Ales though,i'm sure his country produces some fine records,

There's something inherently amusing about pop and rock sung by people whose mother tongue is other than English. Hearing Klaus Meine belt out:

"Early morning
De sssun comes oudt
Last night vas shaking
And pretty loudt"

for example, just cracks me up, even if it rocks.

Japanese anime soundtracks that include English lyrics, that's always fun to hear, too.
 
haha,no hard feelings i just wannt to see the opinions.Maybe it is hard for you because you do not understand the lyrics(they sing in Slovenian language).
But the idea is great i think,because they mix two diferent type of music(folk polka and pop rock) so it is more of a dance song,you know for fun,for all people young and old,....well i kind of like this one,but we will see how the other countries will like them or not haha.
But yes in my country we have a lot of other songs(this one is divide the nation in my country haha,because some of them like it and some of them not,but people vot efor this song because it was tele-voting and they win with a big advantage,...)but now in all newspapers people talk about this haha.
But otherwise we have a lot of great music,diferent than this one haha
 
Yes, I have to say it was never that good, and now it is even worse... Many many moons ago we had the Beatles or Abba at this contest, but those were exceptions. Does anybody remember any artist from these contests?
I would say what Rob says though, Ales I think your country (like mine or any other) can produce better...

I didn't even know they were still running that contest...I thought that an European ersatz of American Idol and YouTube had killed it for good. Gasp!
 
Lill Lindfors had pretty good legs for a woman in her 40s back in 1985.

Eurovision preceded Idol by many years. I lived in Spain in the mid 60s and they were running it then.

Sorry Ales this is pretty bad even by the low standards of Eurovision...:(

I would get rid of the male 80's reject and just have the girl singing, she might clock up a few votes on looks alone.

From England though its a big fat NIL points...... :);)

haha,well this is mix of two style so it must be two of them(not just a woman),because this band are accualy two diferent bands with diferent fans and diferent music,....they just come together for this one song.
And the woman sing folk music and the man sing rock lyrics,so thisis the idea of the project,if the girl is singing alone it will be just a folk mix,....
Well anyway in May we will see the results haha.
Who is win in England?
