What ever happened to Chris (2 Viewers)

I'm heavily engaged in the battle of Walkerloo!

Beginning with the Waterloo re-enactment In Belgium in June I've been on campaign... Miélan, village sous l'Empire... then Boulogne multi Epoque encampment... then the Napoleonic weekend at The Royal Gunpowder Mills Waltham Abbey... regrouping throughout August before a few other dates including The Military Odyssey in Detling, Kent and the Napoleonic Association weekend in Dorset.

hmmm. I've been collecting much reportage and I shall be 'shooting' a garden battle of Walkerloo over the next couple of weeks... you can keep tabs on me using flickr and my blog... I twiddled with twitter but have got better things to do...

I've also begun research into ACW uniforms and battles... I feel the need to paint more soldiers, make more toy soldiers... but I also need to get creative when it comes to funding more production... original Walkerloo gouache painting anyone? ;)

You have been busy!

Love the "You Walkerloo Me" shots.

So is ACW the next range, not going to tap ECW market? Smaller market I admit but possibly a good market with the Sealed Knot.

Hi RAMC,

I've also been looking at ECW period... Especially since seeing the Van Dyck exhibition at Tate Britian I mentioned in the blog. The pikes may give me issues in card board but I'm sure its not unsummountable.

I live near Vauban fortifications which have also been tempting me, ECW period figures could illustrate Vauban models. As an aside... have you seen the relief models in the attic of Les Invalides? ... toy soldier environments which could be classed as sort of weapons! I was mesmorised by them. Huge scale models comissioned by various French heads of state to asist in the drawing up defensive strategies... when illustrated with inteligence concerning enemy troops etc. I guess you could compare them to radar... definately the UK's Ordnance Survey or the US's GPS!
