:( What's going on with N. Africa Lately? Has anybody hear anything from the K & C Hotline? Where is my Italians, and Uncle Benito? It seems everyone like the AK030- Set with the ( BlackSkirts)? Now it seems , No-One wants to Request or Suggest to Andy, to continue to make a 6/8 Man Fighting Infantry, and Italian Armor; and also, sharing the Desert War with the DAK-Germans? Is everyone burnt -out yet, with ALL these Toy Manufacture's? Where's your Spirit? 'Rommel' is still the man!

Sorry John but i don't understand. You were expecting Andy to just make everything you suggest?.You know we have only recently had the Camels,m/bike and sidecar,AK Opel blitz etc.The thing is i think however much we want stuff Andy has his own ideas.I also think if you 'suggest' you may have more luck than if you 'demand'.Hang in there John you never know what might come in the years to come.:)

Speaking of AK Italians, I would love to see a AS42 Sarhariana scout car. That is one cool looking vehicle.

I'm new to K&C collecting and got into it for the AK and EA series only. I've spent the last two months picking off retired sets. Anyway, I sent Andy "Iron Hulls, Iron Hearts," a recent book about Italian tanks in North Africa. I also made a handful of suggestions for the AK and EA series, including the M13/40. Andy sent me a really nice email with his thoughts on my suggestions. I think if we're patient we will see some really cool things in the coming years, including some great additions to EA and AK series at the end of this year.

Welcome aboard Dan. I'm glad we have some cool North Africa stuff to look forward to.

Welcome to the forum Dan,its a great place to share your hobby, have fun and learn some things along the way.I love the AK/EA series and they seem to be getting more and more popular.Although its been retired for some while now the Matilda tank is still one of my faveourite tanks in my collection.

Rob & Louis,

Thanks. Glad to be part of the forum. Bill Moore (great guy) set me up with several of the retired sets, including the Matilda. I should be getting that early next week. I can't wait. Based on what Andy said, I think it is very likely that we will see some more vehicles on the EA side at the end of the year.

Ron,

Iron Hulls, Iron Hearts is by Ian Walker. It has some nice black and white photos of Italian tanks in North Africa and a good overview of the Italian role in the N. Africa campaign. You can get it on Amazon in paperback for about $17. On the Napoleonic range, I really like that era. I collected Imperial Productions out of New Zealand until they went out of business a few years back. They did some real nice work. I got back into collecting after stumbling on this K&C N. Africa stuff. It is so well done. I'm trying to stay focused with my collection.
