It always occurred to me, the way they that left Peter O'tool in the last scene of 'Zulu Dawn', reflecting/pondering his armies massive defeat, that this smacked of a follow on film. How cool would it be if they went on to show Lord Chelmsford returning in a few months with a second invasion army, with artillery & Gatling guns etc, ending with a big battle scene at Ulundi, to settle the conflict for once and all. One of the underlying drama's, could be the desperate dispatches sent by the British war office to delay any fighting, until his replacement arrived. I read in a collector's book that Zulu War was in the top five most collected military themes in the hobby, so it would suggest the film would be received well. Maybe there is someone on this forum, who has the ear of someone, who one day could make this film happen.

I don't know about Ulundi as material for a good film seeing as it was a fairly lopsided affair for the most part. Giant British square filled with cavalry steam-rolling across the countryside squashing everything in its path and all. Also, the prequel in this case had already been made years before and was brilliant. It would be interesting to see if the AZW subject was still as popular now with a new release as these old films have been though.
