 Does anyone have one this K&C items Defense Work Trench? Picture? Year released?

Chuck, it sounds familiar but I couldn't locate it on the Sager site so I don't know.

Chuck:
Can you describe the Defense Work Trench more? Louis can probably confirm, but I think you are describing the diorama piece produced for the K&C's Rough Riders. It is made of polystone, measures 12" by 12" and comes with a machine gun position, firing platform and duck boards. It is grey with white highlights and topped with white sandbags. :)

I didn't see what you describe Steven in the Rough Riders brochure that I have nor did I see it in Bill Sager's site. I also looked through all my brochures and copies of the early brochures that I have as well as Bill's site and I didn't see it so I don't know. Perhaps our historian Louis knows but I can't find it unless I'm just not seeing it. All the more reason for the book Louis, Hans and Larry are writing.

Guys, Steve is correct, and a bit incorrect, all at the same time. The defense work trench was originally produced to be sold with the rough riders. However, it was later sold with two other lines of soldiers: it was (with some blue paint added on for water) sold limited production (maybe less than 10) with the first Iwo Jima release (as a separate dio for those without room for the mountain dio) - there was a flyer with two back to back, I gave my copy to Larry Lo, who had purchased one of these very limited versions, so he could document it, that's why it isn't on Sager's site. It was also in one of the flyers with the eastern front winter SS stuff, to be used along side the strong point. I have the rough rider flyer and the winter SS flyer, but as I said, youneed to contact Larry for a copy of the Iwo flyer depicting the defense work trench.

I have the Iwo flyer (original, not a xerox or a print out). On the front, it shows the Iwo Jima battlefield, which I think is IW 06, Iwo Jima mountain top, in gray. On the back of the flyer is a depiction of a brownish terrain, with a little gray on it. and it does have trenches it, with a tank at the summit. I don't know if that's what Louis is referring to but if it is I can make a copy for whomever would like it.

Larry Symons (March Through Times) was trying to get rid of a DWT a few months ago. (I think the version he had was for the Rough Riders but he had no figures left). You could probably ask him. Personally I find anything that size a bit difficult to display but if you placed a few SP02 hedgehogs on it I'm sure it could look like a rocky area of Gold, Juno, Sword etc.

I don't know any more than my 1st question. I read a refance to it some time back and now I can not find the article. Which is is normal for me.
