Hello there. Here is a poll of what I have been considering to do next. Now that the shop has and my overheads cut back to a fraction of what they were I can plan what to do next. So I thought I might get a few opinions off the collectors on here.

Thanks for voting fellas it's much appreciated. Interesting that no one wants to see more riflemen, I would have thought they would be a popular choice. My soldiers are compatable with FL and WB, who both do riflemen. I still think they would sell well but I guess people would rather see something new.

Iwan,

What happened to the First Anglo Sikh War and the figures you showed last year at the London Show? Has that idea been shelved?

Yes it's shelved at the moment. There's a problem with that factory at the moment so until it's resolved they will be on hold. Also the drop in the pound to dollar has caused me to reevaluate the situation.

Wouldn't the change in currency valuation affect every range that you make.

Moreover, if you've shelled the Sikh War, I'm not sure I understand why are you are you soliciting input on other Indian ideas. Frankly, if you're ever going to make an Indian range, I think the Mutiny would be the most commercially viable.

If you eventually decide not to go forward with the Sikh War range, I'd be interested in purchasing the ones you made.

True any range I make will be affected the same with the currency conversion but the difference is the price that the factory charge and that particular factory who made the masters for the Sikh war range charge a lot. When we did the masters there was no Brexit. With the drop in currency just puts those figures out of my price point.

I could make new figures for the Sikh Wars using a different factory, that's why I am still soliciting for the Sikh wars. Also there was one or two things that I wasn't happy about with the original figures.

I would love to do a range about British India. If I did it could be all in one range but it would depend on the initial success of the first sub range.

I will bear you in mind if I ever decide to sell them.

Best regards iwan

I understand and thanks. A reminder to all that this a hobby to us but a business to others.

Maiwand and the second Afghan war is popular. I had a figure sculpted last year for this range but the factory could not follow my instructions properly and the sculpting was a bit out of proportion. I just found the pictures on my sons iPad. I will put them up here on Wednesday when I get back home. (I need the laptop to post them up on here)

If you do the KGL,would you do cavalry? What I would like you to do is to produce the regimental colour for the 43rd Foot. What is the future for the 23rd Foot figures recently released?-and they need a King's colour.

With regards to the regimental colour for the 43rd I have the same problem as o mention in an earlier post. The standards from that factory cost the same price as 2 soldiers and they are very good flags I must say. The original retail price for my soldiers was £40 and £60 for the flag bearer so I am losing money already now I've had to drop the price of the flag bearer to £45. If I wanted to make another the cost would be even more now (due to Brexit). Basically I am on a hiding to nothing, I would spend a load of money and time just to take about 3 years to get my money back.which is not very good business. I am not saying I won't do it but I am not going to do it until things improve.

As for the 23rd foot I am going to monitor sales over the next few months, if I am happy with them I will begin steps to make more. I am not rushing into anything. I have made that mistake before and I don't want to do it again. I would like to add the other flag and a drummer and I already have another 3 sculpts that were done in St Peterburg but like I said before the sales have to justify more investment.

I hope I have answered your questions.

Regards Iwan
