I obviously have attended OTSN, so I have the best to compare to. So here is my question. I live in St Louis so what other shows would be worth attending with distance etc all factored in.
I went to the Indianappolis show about 10 years ago and that was not worth the 4 hour trip.
What would be considered 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc in terms of size.

Have you ever thought of going to the London Show? I am told it is pretty nice and of course there is a lot to do and see there. Of course cost is an issue here as is the travel time but it is an option. I also think Annapolis Maryland has a show in the summer but I dont know the dates.

The London Toy Soldier Show 3rd December 2005

Hi Guy's
You will always be very welcome in London!
The Toy Soldier Show, London, 3rd DECEMBER 2005

The Toy Soldier Show, London www.thetoysoldiershow.com

On the 3rd of December, we should be close to 250 tables, which we believe will make it one of the largest shows of its kind. These shows will become more of an event as we as a hobby should and need to attract new collectors. We feel very strongly the London Show is a great vehicle for broadening the collector base for the WHOLE HOBBY. At the December show we will have a British Tommie theme (we had Romans in June which was good fun!). To bring the December Show to life we will have a YMCA Austin K2 van from 1941 serving hot soup and coffee along with some Tommie’s and Land Army Girls to help bring it all to life and add some glamour. Also look out for ‘evacuee children complete with Christmas presents and toy soldiers in hand!’

WHAT EVER YOUR TOY SOLDIER INTEREST IT WILL BE AT THE TOY SOLDIER SHOW LONDON ON THE 3RD DECEMBER!

Re: What Shows to Attend? Detroit Show

I attended Detroit show Sunday July 17. I think the show is getting better each time. This year they had one room with all militia dealers and WWll equiptment, another room for kids to paint figures and toy soldier room with Hobby bunker- Marxmen etc. Some good bargains could be had and Mich. Toy Soldier had nice prototypes of new figures and Russians that were neat. Both my buddies enjoyed show and came home with more then intended. Thanks Rick-Dave and Ken and others for having a show in our area. Also had military miniatures painters and some painted wargame armies. Leadmen

Hey Leadmen, that sounds like a cool show with some great ideas. Anything you would like to see at a, toy Soldier show you can not at the minute?

The shows are all pretty good- maybe some cheerleaders like Dallas Cowboys to welcome us. J

There is a good show in Hackensack, NJ a week from this coming Sunday. Supposedly, hundreds of dealers.

The NJ show is a great show and MichToy and ONWTC will be there as usual. I also hope to see a few familiar faces at the London show which I will be attending along with Richard Walker of 1st Gear/W. Britain's. See you there!
