For our KandC, britains, Tradition and other expensive figures, we diplay them. OUr plastics we spend hours painting, we wargame and display. What are some things treefroggers do with their figures in a creative way? Also, I have racked my brain with ways to create a game that is simple, yet thought provoking and requiring strategy with cheap litle green army men and strong plastic whatever else that is not painted. Any ideas?

I mostly display my figures but when I have have time they emerge from their cabinets to participate in the odd wargame or two. Unlike wargaming in smaller scales I've always found playing takes on a far more gentle manner perhaps the figures are more detailed and expensive. Also unless you posses a huge collection grand skirmish or company level actions are usually the best to play.

There are many rule sets on the market, for FIW/AWI I use Ranger or Minuteman rules. Last 4 July we refought Cowpens which was great fun. Also JJD Snowshoes range is excellent for skirmish games, a real spectacle. Edwardian Splendor rules are also fun if you are in to glossies and the traditional style of toy soldier appeals. Personally, if you can't find what your looking for rules wise make up your own. As someone said to me over a drink at the March London Toy Soldier Show - they are your toys do with them as you please!

Alas, I never seem to have the resources to indulge myself as much as I would like but combining my toys with my interest in history is a good stress buster.
