Just wondering what the free 'dinner' figure was this year:)

The figure was a German in winter uniform, holding a panzerfaust in one hand and pointing with the other. Great figure although very fragile. The handle on the panzerfaust broke 2 times on my figure. Problem was they did not come in a box. I,m certainly not complaining as Rick put on another excellent lunch.
I repaired mine again last night.

I threw my figure in my suitcase and sat on it to close it because I had too much stuff. I opened it when I got home and it was in perfect shape. I want to thank Brian(Warbuff) for giving me his figure because I missed the Figarti lunch due to a flight delay. What a great guy!!

Awww shucks thanks Alex.....I like their vehicles but still not a big fan of the figures so I wanted to make sure it went to a good home. And I dont believe in "selling" something that was given to me as a gift either.

I threw mine in too but unfortunately it didn't make it in one piece. Oh, well. Kudos to Brian for doing that. In fact, kudos to him for all he did this weekend: photos and getting us to places. One of the great things about going to the show is seeing Warbuff!:)

Alex:

I noticed that the material used by Figarti on the Long Tom seems to brittle. It broke in several places, the hydraulic lever that make the gun elevate up and down, crank wheel and the breech. Is this a quality control issue? The LRDG looks ok though. I hope the Storch will be sturdy enough (note those spindly legs) to withstand the rigors of package delivery

Thanks Brad.....always enjoy being "Julie the Cruise Director" when you all visit the Chicagoland area! See ya next year!
