The day had been going so well.....Until it was realised that Lt Jenkins had got the days mixed up again....The picnic was yesterday, today was the day of the AMBUSH!!!
But hey, at least they'd all go out in a 'baize' of glory!
Ma Perkins loaded her musket.....She wasn't going to let them Grenadiers get away with the Wagon Wheels* this time
*For those that don't know, 'Waggon Wheels' are classic chocolate biscuits here in the UK...As are 'Jammie Dodgers' and 'Tunnocks Teacakes'. A must try if you ever get to the UK
At least they looked like winning the big flag competition
Them injuns could smell the ginger beer miles away, and they wanted some... lashings of it!
They were all a bit 'lacrosse' that they hadn't been invited!
The rearguard were beginning to wish they weren't
Roger was beginning to feel like he'd been well and truly rogered!
The frenchies were odds on favourites for winning the tea cosy competition.
The hunchback of Notre Dame scuttled away...The Bells, the Bells.....Great on the rocks with some soda on a day like this.
