Scope of interest WW1 and WW2 RFC/RAF, Lufwaffe and USAAF, pushing into post war stuff. I collect K & C, T Gunn and J Jenkins, plastics 1/72, 1/35 and 1/48. Aircraft not Helicopters [noise dirty inelegant bloody things, flown by the wrong type of chap].
Reason for my question - used as a thread title - does anyone have any knowledge on when K & C will be releasing any post WW2 aircraft and what they could be? Reasoning is I have just bought the following sets, RAF86 and RAF87. figures are wearing post WW2 uniforms, introduced late 1945, is this a new sub-series of post WW2 RAF aircraft, vehicles and figure sets? I really hope so, this was the British aviation history golden age. The Lighting, Javelin, Vampire, etc. The two figures are currently being used to enhance my display which has the Thomas Gunn Gloster Meteor as a centrepiece.
Anyone saying they are WW2 uniforms; you are simply wrong and if you feel in any way you are correct, please post the evidence as my fellow RAF cult members and I would be interested.
I am retired RAF, RAF Museum member, volunteer at Biggin Hill, Cosford and Hendon, used to fly my light aircraft out of Biggin Hill. Yes, I did sometimes hum the theme tune to the Battle of Britain film when I took off, moved plane now as the airfield fees was getting expensive. I have co-written articles and books on RAF history and uniforms, belong to the group that support valuations and governance for auction houses and the Antique Roadshow.
Suggestion
When you release further Spitfires and/or Hurricanes, change the camouflage pattern, as the K & C RAF aircraft all have the same camouflage pattern design.
