You've been after for ages!. One of the things that I think make collecting K&C a lot of fun is choosing which item to go for next, which to leave and what direction to go in, in fact the 'Hunt ' . At the show on Saturday I finally got my hands on this set that I've been after for ages, such is the choice available from K&C that there is always something else that you want and other things drop down the list. This is such an item, a terrific set that has been out for ages and then retired, and suddenly I knew my North Africa forces would not be complete without it and had to have it. (also the fact I just love jeeps and now have all the current and recent versions apart from the latest Bulge version. (which by the way I got my first look at on Sat and its really nice^&cool^&cool{bravo}})

So am very pleased with this purchase indeed, I now want Major Stirling before he retires from the service:salute::

Here's a close up of the new Jeep, fantastic release and hopefully this will be speeding its way to my collection soon, I certainly won't be leaving it as long as I did the SAS version!

All the best

Rob nice to see you picked up something special you had been looking for! I only got a few K&C sets this timeas money is a bit thin at the moment! Think I'm going to order that desert Rolls Royce after I get paid next week though as it looks great in person! So is the new bulge jeep top of your want list? Or have you got something else in mind 1st?

Craig

Rob did Andy give any news when were see any new Market Garden figures ?

Rob, I know exactly what you mean... I felt this a few times, and it does feel good! "When you finally get that set...." it`s really one of those magical moments that this hobby has to offer! Congratulations on your new SAS jeep! {sm4}

Congrat's Rob on the SAS jeep, it looks good although i haven't got one and at this stage intend to get one. The new bulge jeep is a cracker and the detail is superb. I reckon the chains around the tyres gives it a great look.

Thanks mate. The Rolls Royce really looks good, bigger than I thought too and I really like that camo scheme. The Bulge Jeep is right up there Craig but am trying to decide whether to push the button or save my dosh for all the goodies coming next month, I'm in a quandry about it!:)

No Neil I'm afraid not, fingers crossed though.

Thank you very much Sentaapua, I find the hunting down of sets a lot of fun and gradually you build a collection packed with items you really like. Thanks again.

Thanks Tom, its another of those sets that really add something to your collection, plus I can't get enough Jeeps!. And you are of course spot on with the Bulge Jeep, got my first look at it in London at the weekend and as you say its first class. The snow chains are nicely done and the paint job and armour make it a really good release, this is a must for me. Cheers Tom

Strange isn't it that someone who whilst sober maintained that he wasn't going to buy anything due to saving for the January releases, then when the G&T's kick in wanders off and buys this? :rolleyes2::wink2:^&grin........I picked this up from fellow forum member Scott (Iona) just the other week. Great set and goes with the other smaller sized EA vehicles that I collect.

Hi Rob. It's a great set and I think a future 'classic'. This K&C SAS jeep of yours also reminded me of an article in the Sunday Times today on the SAS War Diary that has recently been produced in a huge book available in various limited editions, starting at £975 for the unsigned version! Check it out on the website below. The signed 'originals' version comes in a sand-blasted ammo crate that doubles as a reading lectern and costs £2500 (ed. of 100 signed by Jimmy Storie). I want one for Christmas but I don't think the wife's budget will stretch to that.....

Hi Jameson,

I do think in years to come this could be a much sought after K&C set.

Thanks for the link, what a book to have, I remember seeing this on the news and thinking I'm going to get this and then seeing the price!{eek3} Out of my price range I'm afraid but boy I'd like to have that, can imagine it would make for a fascinating read. Perhaps it will be one of these things that comes down in price over the years, lets hope!

Thanks again for the link

Cheers

Rob

Rob, the SAS Jeep is a great set. Just in the last couple of days finally got the K&C Cromwell. I've been meaning to get it long before now, but just hadn't done it yet.
