I need some scale rope that will work with 54/60mm figures...

I'm not looking for twine...
as it frays and unravels so easily...

I'm looking for model ship scale rigging line...

tan or brown...

can anyone direct me to a website/link...or Ebay sale?

I just ran a quick search on eBay for "revell rigging thread" and found a couple of items that might work:

Here's a pretty large supply of it:

It's waxed, which cuts down or eliminates flyaway threads. I know that some ship modelers use beeswax to wax their rigging thread and keep it from getting fuzzy.

I was surprised that I couldn't find any rigging thread at MicroMark. I would have sworn I have seen it in their catalog. They sell tools for rigging ship models, blocks of beeswax, as well as ship kits. I did find any at another vendor I deal with, FreeTime Hobbies.

Hope that all helps.

Prost!

Brad...you just made this very easy for me...I searched Ebay for 30 minutes and couldn't find anything...thank you!

Brad...what size do you think best suits a 60mm figure...considering the size of a figure's hand...what scale is the best?

I go to Michael’s and in the jewelry section you can get thread that works well as rope. And cheap.

It can be waxed or hardened with glue.
