Perhaps it might appear in the Spring catalogue. I don't think the Schwimwagen is available yet. We'll just have to be patient!

Britain's doesn't release items as quickly as King & Country. They operate a bit differently.

At least Britains made the announcement regarding their internal restructuring, keeping collectors informed on their status.

Britains has always been slow. I remember waiting a few months for the Civil War sets (The Picketts Charge fence series) and in the end it was well worth it.

Hi all,
Remember that we are currently in the middle of a move from Iowa to Ohio. We truly believe that it will be well worth it in the end, but it is an 8 1/2 hour trip each way.

William Britain is now owned by The Good Soldier L.L.C. along with Hudson & Allen Studio and we are still the exclusive distributors of Historical Art Prints, the art of Don Troiani.

The Schwimwagen is due in to dealers in early March and the 88mm Gun and crew will be featured in the Summer catalog, but is in preproduction now along with many new WWII figures.

The first catalog during the transition will one truly a stock catalog with no new figures featured in it, although we will have a few images for preview in the last few pages. This is to reduce the time between announcement of new products and the delivery to customers. Although we will continue to market in a manner our collectors are familiar with, we will continue to reduce delivery times between publishing the new catalog and delivery to customers as we have the past few years.

We will also start previewing more upcoming products in The Standard, the W.Britain Collector's Club quarterly magazine, as a courtesy to our club members. We hope this will be viewed as another advantage to membership in the club.

I will give you all another update very soon!
Thanks,

Ken Osen

I was at the Ontario Model Soldier Society show at Fort York in Toronto this morning. I was able to have a chat with Ken Osen about the coming 88. It is now scheduled for Autumn 2016. It will include 3 crew figures and the price will be $335 or less. There are plans for add-on crew. Ken got the exact dimensions of the 88 and will be producing it at exactly 1:30.

Terry, appreciate the update, did Ken mention anything else about WB in general or other figure releases? Chris

I was focused on the one big piece and wanted to get the latest release date and a price. We also talked about how well the WB WWII US and German figures would go with FL. Ken had several of the WWII figures with him. A comparison looks like they are the same size as FL as he intended and have a very similar painting style - no black lines. The WB soldiers were researched historically and are the correct weapons and are scaled correctly. The uniforms and camo are also correct for the period. Nothing specific about release dates.

I also vaguely remember him mentioning a series on Vietnam is in the works.

Also renewed output and new items from Hudson & Allen including new buildings and scenic bases. I got the impression there would be new product to buy in the next several months

Any information on a possible release date for the "eighty-eight"?

That would be hard to do -- step outside your front door -- since you've never invited me up! {eek3}
