Figarti was the leader in 1/30 scale polystone Russian Armor, starting with the excellent JS-2 and ending with the iconic SU-100. I think the T34-85 was their best model; but their were so many to choose from it is hard decide.

Which was the best out of a great series of Russian Armor?

I love the isu-152 assault gun, along with the js2 they are the best in my collection regardless of manufacturer

The photos show the 1/30 scale Figarti T34-85 with a 1/30 scale M26 and a W. Britains US Airborne Infantry figure. The latest WB figures work very well with Figarti Armor.

The scene could be the aftermath of a meeting engagement circa 1950 Korea; where the M26 Tiger killer became the M26 T34-85 killer. The M26 was the best US Army tank in two wars.

The Centurion was the best UK tank in Korea and also saw combat with the T34-85. Figarti should do a really nice Centurion or Comet.P1010592.JPGfigartit34-85.jpg

Not with the soviet battle markings for Berlin. How in a thread comparing Figarti Russians would you use non Russian tanks. It offers no assistance to the question.

The su76 and 100 are also very good tanks from Figarti. There was two design releases with one having thin tracks and side guards and the other thicker tracks and side guards. The latter had a higher hull height and differed greatly.

The one you show has thicker tracks and side guards compared to others which were more realistic than this. I do not see the hull height anomaly on that one but it is almost as if they got the angle degrees incorrect on later ones

I have a couple and noticed this anomaly. I will check the undersides of mine to see what year they were produced but the early T34/85s were better and then something happened within a year and they were changed and not for the better

The T34-85 is a Russian tank! I have never seen a T34-85 with side guards or skirts; what do you mean? The photo of the two tanks; an M26 and T34-85 shows the armor opponents during the Korean War.

The Figarti T34-85 is the best polystone model of a T34-85 to date IMO. Per your comment about the model height; this is an intensional disproportion. The same disproportion occurs in the Figarti Jagdpanzer IV. The length and width in both models is a correct 1/30 scale +/- .5. The height is 1/26 scale. The height is designed to be oversize to accomidate the larger 65-68 mm figures.

A 1/30 scale T34-85 should measure 3.2 inches high. The Figarti T34-85 measures 3.625 inches high. The actual T34-85 is 96 inches high. 96/3.625=26.4 or 1/26 scale; way to high. The actual width is 118 inches/4 inch model size=29.5. The actual overall length with the gun forward is 319 inches/10.750 model length=29.67.

The Figarti T34-85 was designed to be over scale in height to be compatible with the larger 65-68 mm figures from Figarti, K&C, TG and TCS. The length and width are close to a true 1/30. I would consider this an error if the Jagdpanzer IV did not exhibit the exact same error in proportions i.e. length and width 1/30 scale and height 1/28 scale! Very deceptive IMO.

This T-34 was hands down my personal favorite. Never cared for the repainted Winter version though !

Wayne; I just received a 60 mm Russian Tank Commander figure from the Russian Federation to go with my Figarti T34-85. I will post a photo as soon as I finish painting it. One of the best Tin castings of a Russian Tanker I have seen to date.

The E K Castings Russian Tank Commander with the Figarti T34-85. The figure height above the base is 62 mm and size compatible with Figarti IMO.
