I think you will find the other 2 pcs are the commanders hatch covers - open or closed options.

If “Musical Box” is the same as the “Caesar II” (GWB-02) version I have, then that’s correct - the set would include the tank, the open hatch piece, and the closed hatch piece. The Caesar II set has 4 pieces though, as it also comes with an additional piece of stowage. Be sure to get the crew figure sets GWB-01A and GWB-01B to go with the Musical Box tank!
