A few months ago I obtained Jack The Ripper by Trophy and just today I ordered the "lady" from the set. I should receive that figure within the next 10 days or so. I will than only need the Whitechapel Wall Section to complete the set. It is identical to the Baker Street Wall Section in the Sherlock Holmes set. I am hoping that someone can help me out as since my wife passed away almost 18 months ago from cancer this has been a goal of mine to complete this set as we had taken the Jack the Ripper walking tour in east London several years back. I just hope someone might have the Baker Street Wall Section already and might be willing to part with the Whitechapel one. Thank you for reading. Please contact me by PM on Treefrog.

Last Thursday October 29, 2015 I did receive the "lady" figure for the Trophy Jack The Ripper set in the mail. I now only need the Wall Section marked Whitechapel or Baker Street. Either one will do as they are exactly the same except for the words Whitechapel or Baker Street attached to the wall on a piece of paper by some adhesive. If anyone can help please send me a private message on Treefrog. Thank you in advance.

Good luck mate! :wink2:

I am grateful to Scott for his information on a Sherlock Holmes set. I will give an update if everything works out as I hope. It is nice to know that some people do step up to help other collectors when they are looking for something. It was so nice of Scott who had no idea who I was to reach out to me with some information to try to find an item I wanted for quite a long time. Hopefully within a few weeks I can give a full update.

Today I received a Trophy Sherlock Holmes set from my friend, Mike in England. Scott had told me about the set on ebay which was being sold only to someone in the UK. My good friend, Mike offered to bid on the set for me. Scott from Scotland also offered to bid for me although I had never known Scott. I accepted Mike's offer as we have been friends for several years. Mike won the set for me and was the only bidder. I was thrilled and Mike immediately mailed it to me after he received the set. I now have the wall section which I can use to complete my Jack the Ripper set. I only must change the name on the wall from Baker Street to Whitechapel. Trophy only had a paper stuck to the wall with the street name on it. I even spoke with Len Taylor several times in my search for completing the Jack The Ripper set. He told me that he thinks Trophy just typed the street names on their computer. I believe a label printer with a stick em adhesive could easily stick on the top of the Baker Street sign and could easily be put on or take off to be used in a Jack the Ripper set or the Sherlock Holmes set. I am quite happy to have all 3 pieces for the Jack the Ripper set to complete a set that I have wanted to complete for several years.

Was a pleasure to help you mate! I'm glad you finally got the set and that it helps bring some closure and good memories from the past!

Thanks again Scott. I am just happy to have found some wonderful people who help others. That makes things so much better.

Having followed your now successful quest...are there any pictures of this set on the Forum, Web or maybe EBay ?

Thank you for sharing your hunt.

Yes. If you go to Trophy in the glossy section and go to one of the first threads "latest additions" if you go to August 3, 2010 posting #556 Deitz has pictures of the Jack the Ripper set as well as the Sherlock Holmes set. both have been up on ebay too but those might be difficult to find as it has been a while now. If you still can't find a picture write a private message to me on Treefrog and perhaps I can email you a picture but I think you should see both sets if you follow my instructions under Trophy & "latest additions". I just checked back and I found them both very quickly.

Ivanhoe, I am glad you saw the pictures. I think Jack the Ripper is a bit tougher to find than Sherlock Holmes but neither pops up too often. Both sets have the identical wall section but with the name Whitechapel or Baker Street on them. My brother in law had a very small label printer and he printed out Whitechapel for me in the identical size and font as the Baker Street printing. It had stick em like a stamp too so the wall section turned out beautiful for me. The search went on for a few years but I was persistent and things turned out well. Every time I look now at the set I think of all of the nice times my wife and I had visiting the UK.
