Just finished painting up a number of figures depicting the scene outside the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London on January 30th 1649.
This was the execution of Charles 1st. Figures are Call to arms Pikeman, Charles, executioner and bishop by Replicants and the Ironside is one I bought from an odds and ends box at a fair, unknown make.

Wow !

You did an excellent job painting these...and your backdrop in the first picture works great.

Picked up a painted Replicants executioner at OTSN some years ago...great figure.

Thank you.

Fantastic!
Great little scene that tells a story. Excellent photography as well. Thank you for sharing.
Kind Regards

Many thanks, yes the Replicants figures are quite good, some lack a bit of detail but the executioner is one of their best.

Great work! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Cheers,

I really like them.
Great colors selection.
This realistic painting style looks for me much better then K&C pikemen painted as kind of comics figures with everything outlined in black.

Many thanks Janusz, I guess its all down to personal preference, K & C figures do have their own style which does seem popular with the many who buy them.
