Hi.
I teach European history and am searching for figures of the major personalities of the Thirty Years War: Wallenstein, Tilly, Gustavus Adolphus, etc.,
I am looking for figures that are at least 54mm.
Thanks,
MikNick

Tradition made a 54mm figure of Tilly, as part of a set depicting the Meistertrunk von Rothenburg, the incident from the Thirty Years' War in which the Mayor of Rothenburg saved the town council from execution by downing a measure of anywhere from 3.25 to 6.5 L of wine in one draught. I don't know off the top of my head of figures of Wallenstein or Gustavus Adolphus, though it's possible that any of the German makers, such as Peipp, may have. Peipp does have an extensive catalog of Thirty Years' War figures. They're listed as 54mm, but they're a little larger, around 58mm to 60mm.

New Hope Design might have figures of them, too, in their Men At Arms series, but I don't know for sure.

Hope that helps to give you a start, prosit!

Aeroart did a Gustavus Adolphus mounted figure.

Ah, thanks, I realize now that I answered the question from the perspective of castings and kit figures. I didn't think of the Russian studios.

A followup on my own post...

Peipp does have a figure of Gustavus Adolphus, at the Battle of Luetzen. Here is a URL to the photo:

He doesn't have a figure of Wallenstein, though. Peipp's focus is more on Saxony, Brandenburg-Prussia, and the northern plain, for the Thirty Years War.

Prost!
